The Races
Sovata is a picturesque place with worldwide renown where people from all over the world come not only to benefit from health treatments but also to actively relax in a natural mountain setting with countless pearls of beauty. People in this part of Europe know the location, full of tourist attractions that deserve a place on every nature lover's wish list.
Many will attend our event on October 28th to reminisce about their experiences and enhance the experience into a more memorable one, and to those who are visiting the region for the first time, we guarantee that they will have a few unforgettable days in a fairy tale tourist area, spent in the spirit of Sparta, with the Spartan family.
The tourist area of Sovata offers a combination of mountain landscapes, unique lakes in the world, and forests that can be explored by anyone who desires an escape from the urban area. Sovata and the surroundings of the resort have all the natural qualities necessary for an honorable Spartan adventure!
The start/finish area will be located in the immediate vicinity of Lake Ursu. Also known as the "Dead Sea of Europe," it holds the record for the lake with the highest saline concentration on the planet, making it unique in the world. The unique heliothermal lake in Europe and the largest of its kind in the world, Lake Ursu, is the most famous among the heliothermal lakes of Sovata resort.
The Sprint and Super routes will touch the most emblematic places in the protected area of Lake Ursu, while respecting all legal provisions for nature conservation. In addition to the Sprint and Super races, we will also have a 10K Trail run without obstacles, and of course, Kids races.
