The Main Event: Super 10K World Championship

Just down the mountain, the town of Mammoth Lakes offers hidden gems—from rustic charm to vibrant local culture—making it worth exploring. We recommend arriving early to soak it all in and acclimate to the elevation (2400m above sea-level) before race day.
How to Qualify as an Elite Racer:
Super Distance: Secure a top 25 elite finish at any Super distance event from October 7, 2024, to September 27, 2025. Other Distances: Achieve a top 10 elite finish at any other distance within the qualifying period.
Open Invitation to All:
Age Group and Open racers are invited to be part of the championship experience. There's no need for qualification in non-elite categories—just bring your Spartan spirit.
Flying:
Fly United Airlines from San Francisco (SFO) to Bishop (BIH), located just 40 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Flights operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays from September 4 through October 6. Other regional airports within driving distance include, Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).\

Driving:
Mammoth Mountain is easily accessible by car via U.S. Highway 395, which runs along the Eastern Sierra. The drive from Los Angeles takes about 5 hours, while San Francisco and Las Vegas are around 6-7 hours away.
Shuttle Services: Eastern Sierra Transit offers shuttle services from nearby cities and airports, and Mammoth also provides local shuttles to get around the area once you arrive.
